Not in relation to Art:
My family and I went to Washington D.C. One of my favorite cities in the world, and our great nation's capitol. Upon our arrival, we had no actual map of the city, thus my father decided to get out of the car and see if there were any near this giant street map on the side of the road. Well there is a lot of traffic in D.C., and no parking on that specific road, thus after dropping him off we had to continue driving. So we just circled around the block in plans of picking him right back up. Except he wasn't there! In reality we later realized we came back onto the wrong street. We drove around all over D.C., searching for him. It was pouring rain, and he left his wallet and cell phone in the car! So we had no way of contacting him, and apparently no one would let him use their cell phones. In the end, it took us over a half hour before we found him again. My mom and I both though he was going to be pretty angry. But as soon as he entered the car he just broke out in laugher. That was quite the experience for his first day in Washington D.C. His family ditches him in the middle of the city.
In relation to Art:
On this same trip I stopped and talked to a number of photographers. I spoke to one guy, who I met in the National Gallery of Art, for over half an hour. I got a lot of inspiration from these guys and was surprised at how open they were to talking to me about their art and the field in general. I took over 3000 photos on that trip, most of which I still have yet to edit. So I defiantly got a lot out of that trip.
