dL.3

In the image, right after playing blackjack with my good friend and fellow photographer, Mark, I placed a card in the brim of a snazzy hat i found laying around. You can see mark in the background checking his facebook letting the world know he just got p0wned at blackjack. When it came to editing I did my normal lighting and coloring effects, along with a slight sharpen on the card, and added unsaturated lens flare, a slight warming photo filter on the card, a more powerful underwater filter on the remainder of the photo, removed 75% of the saturation in the background, and finally cropped the bottom a bit.

Well I'm not quite sure what the name of this foliage is, but I found it in a massive public garden in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. As for editing, other than the general lighting and coloring effects I perform, I used the color replacement tool to take out all color except for the magenta of the flower and a hint of yellow here and there.

dL.1

Well this is my first photographical blog post. Apparently this is how I'll be handing in my assignments for my AP Art class. So here you go Mrs. Chan, and to everyone else, enjoy.

Now, in relation to this specific photo: I took it whilst in Newport, Rhode Island, walking along the world renowned cliff walk. I simply found a leaf, ripped it in two, flipped one side over, and had someone hold it down so the wind wouldn't blow it away. Then when it came to editing i removed 90% of all color except for the basic green color range and placed a spot light layer on the photo. From there i just edited basic lighting levels, slapped on my name, and bam you have a dLightful photo.
